Scholarship
The Kasie Capling Memorial Scholarship was established by WISE to honor a young woman who had supported women in STEM. Kasie passed away unexpectedly and her friends, colleagues and family members wished to honor her. This scholarship continues her legacy of fostering the careers of individuals in the fields of Information Technology and Engineering.
The NCTA WISE Kasie Capling Memorial Scholarship is administered by the NCTA Education Foundation; a 501(c) 3 dedicated to supporting K-12 education through lifelong learning, and is a component of NCTA and the NCTA Charlotte WISE program’s commitment to education in the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools.
Eligibility
- The applicant must be a Charlotte Mecklenburg Schools female student
- The applicant must be a rising college freshman, re-entry or transfer student accepted into an Engineering or Computer Science program at an accredited college or university for the Fall 2010 semester.
- The applicant’s grade point average must be a minimum of 3.0/4.0
